Major Entrance Sholarship: Next Steps
Thank-you to the students who submitted their applications by December 10th for Major Entrance Scholarship consideration. Students do not need to send any additional information in December or January.
Self-reporting will begin on March 3, 2014. This is the grade information (or IB andicipated scores) that will be used along with personal profiles to make admission decisions throughout March and April. MES decisions will be announced at the end of April.
Changes to the admission requirements for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing:
The courses required for admission to the Nursing program on UBC's Okanagan campus will soon be changing. Students looking to begin in the program in September 2015 will need to complete Biology 11 and Chemistry 12 in addition to the existing course requirements. As a result, starting in 2015, BC high school applicants to the Nursing Program will need:
English 12 or English 12 First Peoples;
Biology 12;
Chemistry 12; and
One other approved grade 12 course
* Completion of Biology 11, Chemistry 11, and one of Principles of Mathematis 11, Pre-calculus 11, or Foundations of Mathematics 12 will also be required.
